**Job Summary**
**Duties**
- Supervise and support staff in their daily responsibilities, ensuring adherence to educational standards and practices.
- Educate and mentor team members on best practices in early childhood education.
- Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and children to foster a collaborative environment.
- Implement classroom activities that promote learning and development for children.
- Be the primary point of contact for the director, family, and staff for the day-to-day operation of the program.
- Manage time efficiently to ensure all tasks are completed within designated timelines.
- Training of new staff to meet the highest quality standards and ensure growth
- Assisting the classroom educators with any routines or needs of children, when necessary, i.e., diapering, rest/nap periods, transitions, etc.
- Training of staff, assisting teachers with program planning and ensuring classrooms meet or exceed licensing requirements
- Utilize computer operation skills to maintain records, schedules, and reports related to classroom activities.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate working persons with disabilities, ensuring an inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor classroom dynamics and provide feedback to enhance educational experiences.
**Qualifications**
- 3 years of proven experience in early childhood education or a related field is preferred.
- Must be able to legally work in Canada
- Strong computer operation skills with the ability to use various software programs for documentation and reporting.
- Current RECE and member in good standing in the College of Early Childhood Educators, Ontario
- Clear/no relevant information from a Vulnerable Sector Check (current within 3 months)
- Experience working with children in an educational setting is essential.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with diverse groups of people.
- Familiarity with French language skills is a plus but not required.
- A commitment to creating an inclusive environment for all students, including those with disabilities.
Expectations
- Ensure Parent and Staff Handbooks are up to date with the most recent copy provided by AVMS Head Office and share with parents and staff.
- Ability to lead a team of 14 staff, ability to schedule, oversee and maintain
- Impeccable people skills, the ability to respond to parents, staff and children
- Emergency Management Drills - Monthly Fire Drills Review of child’s attainment targets

Pay: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
