**Summary of Duties**:
Reporting to the Odette Cancer Centre (OCC) Director of Operations, the Project Manager will be responsible for leading projects related to ambulatory oncology patient care initiatives. The primary focus will be on enhancing the patient experience through the design, planning, implementation, monitoring, and ongoing evaluation of key initiatives associated with ambulatory nursing, outpatient clinics, and patient care activities. Key data sources will be developed, analyzed, and will drive the development of real time data monitoring for all patient care initiatives associated with nursing and clinical care.

Current projects include, but are not limited to the following;
- Conducting an environmental scan to determine current processes and service usage patterns in outpatient clinics
- Engaging with key stakeholders to understand service opportunities and service gaps
- Enhancing the patient care experience through redesign of outpatient clinic functions
- Expansion and ongoing evaluation of telephone support for patients and families
- Development and design of “centralized” nursing support for patients
- Ongoing analysis and dissemination of nursing workload and documentation data
- Operational assessments to determine feasibility of particular support models for optimal patient care

The Project Manager works at all times within an interprofessional model of care. S/he is responsible (within a patient-centred and interprofessional model) for determining project scope, developing project plans, maintaining detailed project plans, analysing data sets, establishing and maintaining relationships with all key stakeholders, and measuring project performance. Survey design, database development/management, and research may be required as part of this role.

- Experience in project management, data management and analysis
- Excellent project management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Well-developed stakeholder relationship skills
- Ability to understand the strategic environment as well as operational limitations and
- opportunities
- Ability to set achievable goals and implement strategies for their achievement
- Has some experience with or knowledge about ambulatory care, nursing, and/or oncology
- Has experience working within interprofessional teams in health care environments
- Has experience with Quality Improvement Work and Rapid Cycle Improvement strategies
