Automation Project Manager

Utilizing the metal fabrication industries latest high-tech manufacturing equipment, we offer quality, repeatability, delivery and on target pricing for our clients. **General Description**: The Project Manager is responsible for the management of automation projects from concept through to customer validation and sign-off of deliverables. They are responsible for maintaining communication with internal and external stakeholders to drive towards the on-time delivery of projects. **Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities** - Typical duties will include but not be limited to the following:_ - Review project scope - Create kick-off documentation - Communicate project timing, scope, and deliverables to internal operations teams and external customers - Build timelines to follow automation process plan - Ensure constant communication regarding timeline updates or changes to project deliverables - Maintain open issue documentation to ensure project success - Capture approvals via sign-off documentation for various project milestones - Provide and maintain timing documentation for procurement department - Communicate with finance teams to notify of payment milestones - Lead the planning and implementation of project - Define project tasks and resource requirements - Develop full scale project plans - Track project deliverables using appropriate tools (Project Binder) - Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders - Present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions - Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs - Project evaluations and assessment of results - Implement lean activities - Health & safety **Education and Experience** - **At least 3 years of experience managing custom industrial automation projects**: - Qualification in project management or equivalent - Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management - Knowledge of project management techniques and tools - Direct work experience in project management capacity - Proven experience in people management - Proven experience in strategic planning - Proven experience in risk management - Proven experience in change management - Proficient in project management software* **Key Competencies** - Critical thinking and problem solving skills - Strong skills in planning and organizing - Decision-making - Communication skills - Influencing and leading - Delegation - Teamwork - Negotiation - Conflict management - Adaptability - Stress tolerance - We thank you for your interest, however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted._ **Benefits**: - Company events - Dental care - Disability insurance - Extended health care - Life insurance - On-site parking - RRSP match - Vision care - Wellness program Schedule: - 8 hour shift - Monday to Friday Application question(s): - What is your current wage expectation? **Experience**: - Industrial Automation: 2 years (preferred) Work Location: In person
