Experienced Barista

Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team as a part-time Barista in our Coffee Roastery & Coffee Lab in Burlington, ON.

Barista Responsibilities:

- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages according to established recipes and quality standards
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and ensuring their satisfaction
- Operate espresso machines, grinders, and other equipment efficiently and safely
- Use POS system for order processing and payment transactions
- Handle cash transactions & operate the cash register with accuracy
- Effectively communicate to customers the available coffee beans for purchase
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including the retail, espresso bar and seating areas

**Requirements & Skills**:

- Availability to work 4hr or 7hr shifts on Saturdays
- Availability to work during some or all weekdays
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Previous experience in Specialty Coffee is preferred
- Interest in learning more about all aspects of Specialty Coffee
- Detail oriented, proactive and willing to take initiative
- Positive attitude and team player

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour
