**About Us**: Wintermute Periodontics & Oral Surgery is a patient-centered specialist dental practice dedicated to providing top-notch dental care with a compassionate touch. We are currently seeking a friendly, organized, and professional Certified Dental Assistant to join our team and work with both doctors.

The position is for 3-4 days per week, covering at least Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. Most weeks we need coverage for Thursday and/or Friday as well.

This position entails no evenings or weekends; 7-8 hour shifts.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist the doctors chair side
- Seat and prepare patients for appointments, such as new patient exams, non-surgical and surgical treatments, and follow-ups
- Provide oral hygiene instruction and post-operative instructions to patients and escorts
- Conduct post-op appointments, including suture and dressing removal
- Maintain professional rapport with team members, patients, and referring doctors and their teams
- Maintain complete and accurate clinical records, including preparing treatment plans and consent forms
- Acquire dental photographs, intra
- and extra-oral radiographs
- Coordinate with the team to ensure smooth patient flow
- Clinical ordering and restocking
- Maintain a clean, organized practice

**Qualifications**:

- Registration with BCCOHP as a CDA
- 1+ years experience as a dental assistant
- Surgical assisting experience
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage time effectively
- Friendly and professional demeanour
- CDAAC or DAANCE would be an asset
- Experience or interest in administrative/reception skills would be an asset and could lead to more hours
