Yard Associate

**ROLE**
Reporting to the Operations / Store Manager, the Yard Associate will ensure that procedures are properly adhered to and that the yard is consistently maintained and safe for operations.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities **include, but are not limited to the following:

- Complete daily circle checks of assigned equipment and report any malfunctions
- Maintenance and cleanliness of all machinery. Report any damage or necessary repairs to management
- Efficiently picking orders
- Locate products using mobile handheld device
- Optimize loads to ensure operational efficiency
- Verify orders and transfers for accuracy
- Responsible for general yard upkeep, maintenance and safety.
- Report discrepancies and/or damaged goods to upper management
- Required to load/unload trucks and/or vehicles with products and materials
- Responsible for the safe operation of all warehouse equipment (lifts, ladders etc.)
- Responsible for utilizing the appropriate lift equipment based on order
- Responsible for securing loads to equipment prior to transportation
- Perform general housekeeping duties within the warehouse and store
- Comply with company, store, and warehouse policies
- Adhere to Health & Safety policies and report any observed safety hazards immediately
- Uses professional language and maintain a professional appearance (e.g., hygiene, grooming) when interacting with others
- Complete other tasks, as assigned by manager

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Valid license for handling the Counter Balance, Raymond Reach, and/or Cherry Picker
- Experience operating the Counter Balance, Raymond Reach, and/or Cherry Picker for 5+ years
