**About the Role**

Join our Health & Safety team and play a crucial role in fostering a culture of safety within ATCO. As an Entry Level Field Health & Safety Advisor, you’ll play a vital role in supporting ATCO’s commitment to creating a safe and compliant workplace. You’ll assist in ensuring that health and safety policies, procedures, and systems are effectively implemented and maintained while working closely with operational teams to foster a culture of safety.

**What You’ll Do**:

- Provide support in implementing ATCO’s Health & Safety Management System (HSMS) across assigned areas.
- Conduct site visits to ensure compliance with health and safety policies and identify areas for improvement.
- Assist in developing and maintaining safety procedures, policies, and action plans.
- Participate in workplace inspections, audits, and incident investigations.
- Support the delivery of health and safety training programs and materials.
- Collaborate with teams to enhance health and safety performance and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Maintain and update safety records and documentation.
- Assist with Joint Health and Safety Committees and contribute to health and safety meetings.

**What you Bring**:

- A certificate, diploma or degree in Occupational Health and Safety from a recognized post-secondary institution
- Knowledge of OHS Act/Regulations/Code, CSA Standards, other legislative requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint
- Valid Alberta driver’s license (Class 5).
- Trade certificate (related to electricity) is considered an asset
- Ability to influence and collaborate with management, staff and contractors to achieve improved safety behaviors in a non-confrontational manner

**Working Conditions**:

- Away from home overnight travel is a requirement for this role

This position falls under the ATCO Electric and Canadian Energy Workers Association Collective Agreement.
