Description
Under the supervision of the Quality Supervisor, the Quality Inspector will perform visual inspections of various parts. He will be required to communicate with various departments and employees.
Role & Responsabilities
- Perform regular quality assessments on all incoming materials from suppliers, products in process of production and outgoing products for shipping.
- Measure product dimensions, examine functionality, and compare the final product to the specifications.
- Reject all products and materials that fail to meet quality expectations and contribute to the root cause analysis.
- Recommend improvements to the production process to ensure quality control.
- Document inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports and performance records.
- Inform and follow up with production team about quality control concerns to improve product excellence.
- Perform FAI - Fists Article Inspections
- Prepare and verify conformity of the quality documentation which includes the quality documentation package provide to the customer with the final product.
- Resolve quality-related issues in a timely manner.
Prerequisites
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Electrical or Electromechanical Technician Diploma is an asset.
- A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge of high precision inspection tools, machining, and tolerance.
- Excellent ability to read and interpret industrial plans and drawings.
- Detail oriented, good organizational and follow-up skills and team work.
- Working knowledge of MS Office.
- Good understanding of quality standards (ISO).
- Certification in quality control is an asset.
- Good verbal and written language skills in both English and French;
