Barrie, Canada CSR Cosmetic Solutions Full time

CSR Cosmetics is a local manufacturer of personal care and cosmetic products in business for over 68 years. We are currently seeking Quality Inspector - Incoming Packaging with experience in a CPG/GMP manufacturing environment.

**GENERAL DESCRIPTION**
- Inspects and approves incoming product packaging to approved specifications._

**DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Secures receiver forms from Shipping and Receiving for incoming packaging. Correct and report any error(s) in the form.
- Opens and inspects incoming packaging for defects, such as bad screening or broken containers, using an approved sampling plan following proper Acceptable Quality Limits indicated in SOPs.
- Observes dimensional characteristics and reports deviations as required.
- Affixes an approval or hold sticker to containers and refers problems to the Quality Control Manager
- Follows up on shipments on hold and rejected to final disposition.
- Performs military standard sampling to define shipment defect levels as required.
- Completes packaging reports for the Quality Control Manager approval including details of the shipment, such as Drug Tag Number, date, company, quantity, product and status.
- Creates documents for Quality Control Manager signature; attaches samples of unacceptable packaging.
- Packs, labels, addresses and send samples to Customers for disposition.
- Maintains receiver and packaging reports.
- Complies with Good Manufacturing Practices, Standard Operating Procedures and Safety Standards and follows plant policies and procedures.

**Education**:

- Completion of Post-Secondary
- Post-Secondary education in Quality Systems preferred

**Skill/Knowledge/Licenses**:

- Valid Driver’s license
- Forklift Certification preferred
- Write legibly, literate
- Strong Organizational Skills
- Understanding of acceptable quality limits & inspection requirements
- Strong mathematical skills
- Understanding of Quality Systems

**Salary**: $16.00-$18.00 per hour
