Previous pharmacy or healthcare experience is preferred but not required.

Overview

The Pharmacy Assistant II is responsible for providing superior customer service in a friendly, knowledgeable and professional manner. The Assistant is responsible to identify and schedule professional clinical services as well as focus on the achievement of pharmacy excellence in the areas of customer service, workflow efficiencies, PROfile programs and inventory management. Actively contributes to a positive and productive working environment.

Overview

The clinic administrative assistant is responsible for greeting patients in a friendly and professional manner. The Assistant is the first point of contact and is responsible for the identification of patients, their registration and organizing the clinic flow for the immunizing health care practitioner.

**Job Description**:
Greeting patients
Registration of patients and basic COVID screening
Scheduling of appointments and answering the phone line
Use of healthcare management software and internet (e.g. CANImmunize) on iPad/Tablet and computers
Assisting patients with health questionnaires while maintaining patient privacy
Maintaining clinic cleanliness, organization and sanitizing chairs after use
Monitoring patients after vaccination and informing the immunizers if medical attention is requested or required
Maintaining and ordering clinic supplies and personal protective equipment (PPE)
Answering non-medical questions and keeping up-to-date with changes to vaccine eligibility and general vaccine information
Implementing all applicable company standards
Assisting with other clinic operations as required
Job Requirements

**Technical Skills**:
Above average communication skills (both oral and written)
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Ability to work independently in a fast environment
Ability to multi-task

**Education and Experience**:
**Preferred**: Medical office administration or medical sciences student
Previous healthcare experience
