**VIHA-6872**: New - Status - Open - Site - Nanaimo Regional General Hospital - Site Type - Hospital - Type of Position - Permanent - Date Range - Hours of Work - Full Time - On Call - Comments Eligible for FRCPC - Respirology Eligible for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC **Qualifications, Education and Skills**: **Requisites**: - Current College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC) License - Full - Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) - Mandatory - Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC) - Mandatory **Role and Facility Information**: The Island Health Division of Respirology has an opportunity for a full time General Respirologist to join two others providing shared respirology services at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital, including clinics, PFT interpretation, bronchoscopy, hospital consults, Nanaimo Regional General Hospital (315 acute care beds) which is our regional referral hospital providing services to an immediate population of 125,000 and a secondary referral population of over 350,000. Hospital based services include EEG, EMG, a rehabilitation inpatient unit, CT and MRI. Academic affiliation with the University of British Columbia (UBC) and the Island Medical School postgraduate and undergraduate programs is available, and NRGH is a UBC Postgraduate Family Practice Residency Program site with 16 family practice residents.
