Standard BioTools is searching for a progressive, motivated Computer Data Scientist to support the exciting Therapeutic Insights Laboratory.
Description:
- Working in a team environment, the Scientist will be analyzing customer data sets using verified workflows and will be working on the development of new tools for Imaging Mass Cytometry that utilize the latest developments in machine learning and advanced statistical techniques.
- Work closely with project owners, collaborators, and other scientists on the team to evaluate existing platforms and define requirements for improvement.
- Understand, design, and implement complex machine learning algorithms.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve software issues and recommend enhancements or fixes
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Mathematics with 3 years of experience
- Basic understanding of immunology or cell biology
- Familiarity with analyzing single cell data including flow cytometry data and data from imaging platforms
- Experience in Computer Vision or Image Analysis
- Development experience in Python, C/C++, Java, R, R Shiny or other high-level language
- Demonstrated ability to work independently
- Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodology, unit testing (e.g. NUnit), code repositories (e.g., Git, Azure DevOps), coding standards, code reviews, team tools (e.g., JIRA, Slack), and software testing
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
