Salary:
**Estimator (Full-time)**
The Estimator will engage in a multitude of responsibilities from performing material take-offs, reviewing bid documents, to preparing accurate estimates for multi-residential, commercial and industrial construction projects. The Estimator will work closely with the Project Management Team in the preparation of estimates, project initiation and planning.
**Reports to**: Operations Team
**Essential Functions/Responsibilities**
- Interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Interface with clients
- Utilize estimating software, and expand software capabilities
- Manage working documents
- Review design options and recommend best solution based on cost, engineering quality, and availability of materials
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders & suppliers
- Work in close consultation with Project Management teams, as required.
- Provide support & recommendations to Business Development pursuits
**Qualifications and Experience**
- Minimum 5 years of relatable experiences
- Driver's license
- Experience with estimation/take-offs
- Experience working with construction management contracts, CCDC 5A & CCDC 5B
- Experience bidding lump sum projects and CCDC 2
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
- Proficiency in MS Office, Bluebeam, Plan Grid, and estimating software (PlanSwift)
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, technological) and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented, organized and committed to achieving excellence across all projects
- Work independently or as a team
- Bilingualism is considered as an asset
