**Estimator - Heavy Industrial Construction**

**Location Various Project Across Canada and United States**

**Hybrid - Head Office - Temiskaming Shores Ont. / Working from Residence**

**Heavy Industrial Multi - Disciplined Projects**

Primary responsibility is to analyze project plans and specifications to accurately estimate the cost of labor, materials, and other resources needed for a construction project. This involves gathering information, developing detailed cost breakdowns, and preparing comprehensive bids for clients or management.

**Core Responsibilities**:
**Analyzing project documents**: Reviewing blueprints, specifications, and other project documents to understand the scope of work and identify potential cost factors.

**Developing cost estimates**: Calculating material quantities, labor hours, equipment costs, and other expenses to create detailed cost estimates for projects.

**Gathering information and pricing**: Consulting with suppliers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to obtain quotes, understand market rates, and ensure accurate pricing.

**Preparing bids**: Creating comprehensive bids for clients, including detailed cost breakdowns, timelines, and project plans.

**Building relationships**: Developing and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.

**Presenting estimates**: Clearly communicating cost estimates and project plans to clients, project managers, and other stakeholders.

**Staying informed**: Keeping up to date with industry trends, material costs, and construction techniques.

**Quantity takeoff**: Accurately measuring and calculating quantities of materials needed for the project.

**Skills & Qualifications**:

- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in industrial construction is often preferred.
