Ice Maker/zamboni Driver

Nature of Work:
This is a responsible shift work (primarily evenings and weekends) in the area of being responsible for the installation & maintenance of ice and care of the facility including the ice surfaces, dressing rooms, Zamboni room, including all tools and equipment owned by Belfast Recreation Centre.

Ensure that the confidentiality of Belfast Recreation Centre affairs is respected and practiced at all times.

Example of Duties:

- Responsible for ice making operations, resurfacing and removal of ice;
- General ice maintenance throughout the season;
- Cleaning of equipment areas and minor maintenance of resurfacing equipment;
- Conduct the regular cleaning and general maintenance of the facility;
- Hours of work will vary according to facility requirements;
**Requirements**:

- Grade 12 or equivalent;
- Possess a valid Driver’s License;
- Level 1 Arena Operations Certification (or be willing to obtain);
- Experience and knowledge in the safe operation of equipment;
- Aware & practice Occupational Health and Safety;
- Valid CPR & First Aid Certification (or be willing to obtain);
- Prepared to work shift work is mandatory - i.e. evenings/weekends;
- Deal with all users, tenants and public in a polite and effective manner;
- Provide Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Check;

Pay: $20.00-$26.00 per hour
