**Acara Solutions is looking for a direct placement Plasma Machine Operator**
- Location: Brampton
- Salary: $20.79 Eligible for OT after 40 hours
- Shift: 6:30am-2:30pm Monday to Friday
- The Machine Operator will be responsible for supporting the production team in machine operations, loading and off-loading product or inventory, conducting quality checks and finishing parts using hand tools as required.
- The Machine Operator will report directly to the Team Lead and/or Production Supervisor.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Understands the use of equipment, sheet loader, and laser conveyor.
- Reads job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements, and selects desired cutting program.
- Observes and monitor the machine during the process.
- Conducts ongoing visual inspection of parts before forwarding to the next procedure.
- Measure workpiece dimensions to ensure accuracy.
- Remove burrs, sharp edges, rust or scale from the workpiece, if required.
- Identify opportunities for improvements.
- Follow strict quality control procedures.
- Follow good housekeeping practices.
- Any other duties as may be assigned.

**Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) with a minimum of three (3) months of experience.
- Metal Fabrication experience.
- Ability to interpret blueprints / shop fabrication drawings.
- Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
- Mathematically inclined.
- Comfortable to work with large size components.
- Experience operating overhead crane equipment.
- Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Safety focused.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $20.79 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- On call

**Experience**:

- Machine Operator: 3 years (preferred)
