**Overview**:
Coordinates all areas of the internal audit program for the Chatham Manufacturing site and Troy Corporate office. Ensures compliance to all IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 and all Customer Specific Requirements.

**Principle Responsibilities/ Accountabilities**
- Co-coordinate annual Third-Party audits (registrars).
- Monitors the internal audit cycle to ensure it remains effective and up to date.
- Conducts audits as part of a robust annual plan.
- Produces and submits full and complete audit reports for each audit undertaken, issuing corrective actions for any audit findings. Conduct follow-up audits to ensure actions are completed.
- Recommends appropriate changes to the QMS because of audit findings.
- Engages with continuous knowledge development regarding each certification’s requirements, recommended best practices, tools, techniques, and performance standards.
- Interacts with various groups responsible for developing documentation to meet quality requirements and verify current procedures by conducting interviews orally or using written communication.
- Reviews Layered Process Audit findings, catalogues findings and implements corrective actions to resolve them.
- Collaborates with the Quality Clerk to ensure Customer Specific Requirements manuals are kept current. As needed adjust the audit plan to align with CSR revisions.
- Reporting (KPI) on the performance of the QMS systems. (Monthly)
- Promotes and educates all personnel in the understanding of key performance indicators and areas requiring improvement relating to the Quality Management System.
- Co-ordinates with appropriate personnel any related IATF 16949/ISO training (i.e., Internal Auditor Training, Procedural Training etc.).
- As needed Develops and Rewrites existing procedures/instructions to ensure all documentation is meeting MSSC requirements in accordance with IATF 16949 and Customer specifications.

Performs other duties/ tasks as directed by supervision or management.

**Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities**:
+ Have or willing to obtain Internal Lead Auditor Certification.

+ Experience in conducting internal audits for ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards.

+ Ability to thrive autonomously as well as in a team environment.

+ Attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.

+ Working knowledge of the Automotive Manufacturing Industry.

+ Knowledge of Customer Specific Requirements (Toyota, Honda, Ford, GM, Stellantis )

+ Strong analytical, problem solving, and time management skills.

+ Ability to keep work area neat and clean and eliminate potential hazards.

+ Proficient in the use of MS Office software, Excel, Word, Power point, Project.

+ Ability to travel as required (North America)

+ Ability to conform to company policies/ procedures and OSHA standards with the goal of zero safety related incidents.
