We have a new opportunity for a Vice President of Street Sales in Kitchener

As the dedicated leader for our team of over 60 sales employees, the priorities of this role include the achievement of budgeted Street Sales targets, developing the strategies to grow net new customer business as well as profitable share growth within existing customers, and implementing intelligent sales activities including territory planning, new client acquisition, client relationship building and territory prospecting. The VP of Street Sales will also be responsible to provide intelligence and advice to senior leadership of Flanagan’s affiliated companies; Roseland, S.T.O.P. Restaurant Supply, FJ Wadden’s and Capital Foodservice.

As a decisive and results oriented leader, you will fully utilize both technical skills and teamwork to meet corporate goals and to influence and motivate change. You will also thrive in a challenging environment and enjoy working in partnership with a diverse team of people to deliver exceptional results.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive growth and meet or exceed sales targets
- Lead, inspire, and motivate a team of street sales representatives, providing training, coaching, and support to ensure their success
- Manage the sales process, including lead generation, customer acquisition and retention, and reporting
- Collaborate with other departments, including Marketing, Finance, HR, and Operations, to develop and implement new products, programs, and promotions
- Analyze market trends and customer needs to identify opportunities for growth and innovation
- Develop and manage budgets, resources, and other key metrics to drive business performance
- Represent the company at trade shows, events, and other industry gatherings
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Effectively communicate expectations and targets to the Street Sales team and coach for optimal individual and team performance
- Develop pricing strategies that reflect total cost to serve with desired gross margin.
- Networks in and out of the industry, and sits on industry task forces, initiative committees, and boards.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
- Proven track record of sales success, with a focus on customer acquisition and retention
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team to success
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and partners
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies
- Knowledge of the food service industry and trends in the Canadian market
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, decision-making and issue resolution skills
- Excellent sales, negotiation, relationship building and closing skills and techniques are required
- Good understanding of inventory forecasting and management systems including pull through programs and general logistics concepts is desirable
- Ability to understand and set sales plans, make forecasts and forecast profit margin trends
- Ability to travel locally throughout the business day, with occasional out-of-town and overnight travel to meet with sales team members and employees in other Flanagan locations (Whitby, Sudbury, Moncton); and to meet with customers and industry partners as well as attend business conferences throughout the year
