The Supply Chain Planning & Purchasing Manager supports development and management of Duty-Free supply chain and logistics processes and key projects to drive sales across North America. This position focuses on continuous improvements of processes, best practices and opportunities to optimize operational activities in collaboration with the various stakeholders.

**Essential Functions**:

- Manages, coach and motivates the supply chain planning and replenishment team of 7+ planners across the region in executing best practices and measuring performance through agreed upon Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Uses the ERP system and associated planning and replenishment tool to ensure the right quality and level of inventory to support 25+ airports with focus on Duty Free and +$350M in sales
- Manages all planning and purchasing activities including cross-functional collaboration with category teams, operations, finance and other stakeholders as applicable, to ensure the best value/terms across North America, and ensure appropriate annual inventory budgeting and quarterly inventory provision exercises
- Works closely with Dufry IOS team to ensure ongoing timely processing of replenishment orders according to schedule and parameters, alignment on monthly sales budgets reforecasts and address supply chain concerns and risks
- Works closely with operations teams to ensure accurate in-store replenishment parameters and scheduled sales re-forecasts are reflected accurately in the forecasting and replenishment system
- Crosses functional collaboration with global, regional, and North American category teams to ensure the requirements of our Supply Chain objectives are met related to inventory management (quality and level), exit strategies and vendor/brand performance
- Develops and maintains key performance indicators (KPIs/reporting) to measure and report on supply chain performance such as on-time delivery, inventory quality, inventory turnover, etc.
- Understands US and Canada Customs regulations and freight management to ensure compliance and effective route to market product movements
- Supports growth of digital business including inventory management and freight

**Major Interdependencies**: Global and Regional Category Team, Operations, Finance, Global IOS Supply Chain

**Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Work Environment**:

- **Education and Experience**: The combination of education and professional experience must exceed 5 years:

- In a leadership role: Requires 2 years of experience supervising a team of professionals engaged in executing Supply Chain and Demand planning programs.
- In a technical role: Requires 5 years of Supply Chain and Demand planning experience engaged in developing and delivering planning programs.
- A bachelor’s degree in a program related to the functional area can count for 3 of the 5-year requirement
- In the industry: 3-5 years of Hospitality, F&B and/or Retail experience 3-5 years
- **Specialized Training**:

- Knowledge of both Canada and US Customs processes
- **Specialized Skillset/Competencies/Traits**
- Strong acumen of forecasting tools, including experience supervising and/or leading a team and experience with Freight Management (negotiations, tools, KPIs)
- Experience using Merchandising/ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- Advanced Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Excel skills (Advanced level Excel preferred)
- Financially astute with strong analytical/numerical problem solving and reporting skills; experience with budgeting and exceeding targets/profits
- Ability to innovate and challenge current attitudes/thinking
- Business acumen and also has the mindset required to understand the long-term implications of Supply Chain and Demand planning and to advance the organizations goals
- Demonstrated history of understanding the needs of the business, stakeholders, the employee population and individual circumstances
- Demonstrated history of creating and maintaining positive work environments through coaching, developing, and leading teams to achieve common goals

**Location/Travel**:

- Location: This role can be based at the Toronto Centre of Excellence, the F&B Center of Excellence in Bethesda, MD, or the Retail Center of Excellence in East Rutherford, NJ
