Nanny/housekeeper

In 2008 we opened our newest building Wynn Park Villa which is a privately owned home for special care, licensed under the Department of Health & Wellness. We are located in a quiet residential neighbourhood in Truro, NS. The facility has sixty beds (twenty residential and forty long term care). At the heart of this family owned and operated home is our dedication to the promotion of health and dignity, enhancing lives of others in a home like environment.

Wynn Park Villa has twenty-four hour nursing care. Our care is reflective of our mission statement. We are committed to providing quality care and recognizing holistic needs and resident rights. In co-operation with residents and families we wish to promote wellness, independence and self-determination.

Residents personalize their rooms with pictures and personal treasures. Increased safety is provided with call bell system and ceiling lifts. Each nursing unit has a nursing station, a surveillance security system, television room and dining room where home cooked meals are provided.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide a safe and secure environment for children.
- Engage in activities with the children such as reading, playing games, and helping with homework.
- Prepare meals and snacks for the children.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment.
- Transport children to and from activities as needed.
- Be available for emergencies or unexpected situations.

**Salary**: $900.00-$950.00 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay
- Tips

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Laval-ouest, QC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- childcare: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- CPR Certification (preferred)
