As the Team Lead Instrumentation, you will manage instrumentation maintenance activities to ensure safe, environmentally responsible, reliable and efficient planned maintenance.

Minimum Requirements:
- Two or more years of proven leadership or supervisory experience within maintenance or operations in a heavy industrial environment- Five or more years in industrial maintenance experience- A valid technical diploma, trade certificate or degree- A High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)

**Responsibilities**:
- Provide supervision to a team of 16 Instrument technicians- Uphold Suncor’s purpose in your daily interactions and decision making, to provide trusted energy that enhances people’s lives, while caring for each other and the earth- Maintain a visible presence in the field to develop employee engagement, assess work process effectiveness and ensure that a well-adapted approach to safety is present- Hold weekly shift safety meetings; review and follow up on items raised and take corrective action- Lead effective incident investigations, implement corrective actions to prevent re-occurrences and develop creative solutions- Conduct field level risk assessments assuring our risk protocols are followed and all permitting, hazardous energy isolation and risk mitigation processes are thoroughly conducted- Ensure the administration of the collective agreement and our personnel policies occurs in a fair and consistent manner- Provide mentorship and ensure development and competency of the crew, set expectations and hold individuals accountable to meet those expectations- In accordance with the Suncor Maintenance process, perform all functions within the SAP computerized maintenance system to accurately detail, approve and assign the work that is performed on shift-
- Interact with the operations and planning department to optimize production; establish work priorities and provide feedback to the operating groups on equipment performance, planning effectiveness and concerns

Location and other Key Details:
- You will work out of our Sarnia refinery in Ontario, located at 1900 St. Clair Parkway- Hours of work are Monday to Friday 7:30-4:00pm with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs- This position is safety sensitive
