**Deaf/Hard of Hearing Teaching Consultant**

On behalf of the Central Alberta Low Incidence Cooperative, Red Deer Catholic Regional Schools is seeking a part-time teacher consultant to support educational programming for children who are deaf/hard of hearing (DHH) within Central Alberta.

**Key responsibilities will be to provide consultation to school staff by**:

- suggesting modifications to the classroom environment,
- recommending adaptations/accommodations to curriculum and strategies for curriculum access,
- assisting teachers in the development of IPP goals and strategies,
- providing recommendations for educational resources,
- interpreting audiology reports for school staff, and
- providing information and strategies for social skill development and self-advocacy.
- education and/or experience in DHH teaching/learning,
- a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle,
- ability to work virtually as well as in person,
- excellent communication skills
- both verbal and written,
- strong time management skills, and
- ability to work independently as well as cooperatively in a team.

Schedule: Monday to Friday

Ability to commute and/or relocate to Red Deer.
