**Job description**

The person for this role will be self-motivated, creative, and willing to try new things. This opportunity is ideal for someone looking for part-time work, and available sixteen and a half hours a week.

**Requirements**

  • **A clear Police Criminal Check for the Vulnerable Services Sector**
  • ECE background or equivalent experience with children is required
  • Excellent understanding of child development
  • Ability to come up with creative ideas to educate and engage children
  • A pleasant and patient personality
  • Availability to work evening shifts, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and daytime Saturday
  • First Aide / CPR certification

**Assets**

  • Driver’s License and access to a vehicle is an asset
  • Previous experience as an ECE, Nanny, or PSW is an asset
  • Sensory integration skills are an asset

**Responsibilities**

  • Organize creative activities, chores, and educational games (e.g., drawing, crafting and sensorimotor activities)
  • Homework assistance
  • Light housekeeping, food preparation and self-feeding instruction
  • Bathing, bedtime preparation, and potty training
  • After school pickup, and transportation to extracurricular activities
  • Ensure child safety
  • Capable of responding to emergency situations, for example injury or illness
  • Submit invoices according to schedule
  • Implement playdate opportunities with other children

**Part-time hours: 14 - 19hrs per week**

**Rate of pay $18**
