Join our team at Golden Arrow School Bus Ltd. as a **SPARE Part-Time School Bus Driver**
We’re looking for reliable, safety-focused individuals to support our daily operations across Edmonton and surrounding areas.

**What is a Spare Driver?**
Spare Drivers report to the yard each morning and afternoon (standard shift times: 6:30 AM & 2:30 PM). You’ll fill in for routes as needed
- when a regular driver is away and assist with general yard duties. You’re **paid daily as long as you report to the yard**, even if you’re not assigned a route that day.

**Responsibilities**
- Safely transport students when assigned to a route
- Be familiar with Edmonton and surrounding communities and able to navigate alternative routes confidently
- Complete daily vehicle inspections and ensure bus cleanliness
- Maintain clear communication with students, parents, and staff
- Report to the yard each day and assist with assigned tasks
- Follow company policies and uphold student safety at all times

**Requirements**:

- Valid **Class 5 (Non-GDL)** or **Class 2S License**:

- Minimum **1-2 years of driving experience** in Alberta or Canada
- Clean **10-Year Driver’s Abstract**:

- **Strong knowledge of Edmonton’s layout, major routes, and surrounding areas**:

- Ability to read city maps
- Willingness to drive any route within Edmonton and the surrounding area
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Must pass drug/alcohol screening and background check
- Willingness to attend **free Class 2 training**:

- Commitment to a **6-month contract** after training completion

**Training Includes**
- In-class instruction and hands-on yard practice
- Module quizzes and evaluations
- Final driving assessment

**Position Type**: Part-Time, Permanent
**Compensation**: Daily standard rate

Pay: $17.75-$29.25 per hour
