Siding 16 Lodge in Wetaskiwin is currently seeking a Part-Time Front Desk Agent to join our team. This position requires availability for different shifts, weekends and holidays. As a Front Desk Agent, you will play a vital role in ensuring exceptional customer service and performing night audit duties to maintain the smooth operation of our hotel.
**Responsibilities**:
1. Reception and Customer Service: Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner, assist with check-ins and check-outs, handle guest inquiries and requests, and provide information about hotel facilities and services.
2. Security: Maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and staff, monitor the premises, and promptly respond to any security or safety concerns.
3. Handle Reservations: Assist with processing reservations, modifications, and cancellations, ensuring accuracy and timely communication with guests.
4. Cash Handling: Handle cash transactions, process guest payments, and maintain accurate records of financial transactions.
5. Administrative Tasks: Complete various administrative duties, such as filing, data entry, and maintaining guest records.
6. Customer Care: Address guest complaints or issues promptly and professionally, striving to provide effective solutions and ensure guest satisfaction.
7. Collaborate with Team: Work closely with other hotel departments, including housekeeping and maintenance, to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
8. Maintain Knowledge: Stay updated on hotel policies, procedures, and local attractions to provide accurate and helpful information to guests.
9. Adhere to Policies: Follow hotel standards and procedures, including those related to guest privacy, safety, and cleanliness.
**Requirements**:
1. Strong customer service skills and a genuine desire to provide excellent care to guests.
2. Ability to work independently and efficiently during shifts.
3. Prior experience in a customer service or front desk role is preferred but not required.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
5. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
6. Basic computer skills, including knowledge of hotel management software and Microsoft Office.
7. Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and maintain financial records.
8. Flexibility to work a rotating schedule, including weekends and holidays.
9. Knowledge of hotel operations, night audit procedures, and security protocols is an asset.
