About this position:
What you’ll do:
- Assists residents with activities of daily living and delivers personal care services in a manner that promotes choice, involvement and participation to the greatest degree possible
- Assists delivery of meals, housekeeping, laundry and therapeutic recreation programs
- Be resident-centred in your approach and model our values in all your interactions with the public, team members, residents and their families
- Participates in the delivery of social, recreational and therapeutic programs including group activities, outings and special events
What you’ll need:
- Graduate of Health Care Assistant program from a college recognized by the Post
- Secondary Education Commission
- Possesses excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Demonstrates genuine interest and concern for the well-being of seniors
- Registered with the BC Care Aide and Community Health Worker Registry
