Every item we pack and every box we ship is a chance to deliver on that promise. **Role Overview** **Key Responsibilities** **Operational Leadership**: - Lead, train, and evaluate warehouse staff to cultivate an accountable and productive in a highly motivated team environment. - Identify, develop and mentor a second-in-command to ensure leadership continuity and operational resilience. **Team Management**: - Continuously assess and refine warehouse processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs, with a focus on quality control and pick-and-pack cycle times. - Leverage data-driven insights to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices. **Quality Assurance**: - Maintain excellent standards for product handling, storage conditions, and order accuracy. - Manage labeling processes, ensuring products are labeled with accurate best-before dates and comply with food safety standards. **Inventory Control**: - Implement and monitor inventory management system (Fishbowl) to ensure accuracy, maintain sufficient stock and minimize order fulfillment issues. - Track receiving and storage metrics to ensure timely and accurate inventory updates. - Generate and print labels as needed for inventory management and order fulfillment. - Adjust inventory thresholds based on sales volume trends to maintain optimal stock levels with attention to mínimal food waste and excellent quality standards. **Workforce Operations**: - Analyze labor utilization data to optimize staffing levels and reduce operational costs. - Develop and implement labor strategies that align with operational demands and efficiency goals. **Reporting**: - Generate regular reports on warehouse performance metrics and present findings to senior leadership. - Utilize insights from reports to drive continuous improvement initiatives. **Safety Compliance**: - Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, conducting regular audits and training sessions. - Foster a culture of safety and accountability within the warehouse team. **Qualifications** **Professional Experience**: - Minimum of 5 years in warehouse operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role. - Demonstrated experience in managing perishable goods within temperature-controlled environments, adhering to food safety standards. - Proven track record of leading teams in fast-paced, startup settings, showcasing adaptability and resilience. **Educational Background**: - Post-Secondary Education or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. - Relevant certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM), or Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt) are highly advantageous. **Technical Proficiency**: - Expertise in Warehouse Management Systems, particularly Fishbowl Inventory Management System. - Proficiency in Google Suite, with strong skills in Excel for data analysis and reporting. - Familiarity with labeling processes, including generating and printing labels for inventory management and order fulfillment. **Leadership Abilities**: - Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team building, staff development, and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. - Experience in developing talent to ensure operational continuity. **Operational Excellence**: - Demonstrated ability to implement and refine warehouse processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain high-quality standards. - Skilled in analyzing labor utilization data to optimize staffing levels and reduce operational costs. - Experience in adjusting inventory thresholds based on sales volume trends to maintain optimal stock levels. **Safety and Compliance**: - Comprehensive knowledge of health and safety regulations, with a history of conducting regular audits and training sessions. - Familiarity with food safety standards and labeling requirements, ensuring compliance with best-before dates and packaging integrity. **Personal Attributes**: - Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to operational rigor and excellence. - Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to make quick decisions to address unexpected challenges. - High level of flexibility and ownership, with a "job is not done until it's done" mentality. - Willingness to engage in hands-on work and lead by example, demonstrating a high standard of care for quality. - Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying temperature conditions, including freezer and refrigerated areas. - Reliable means of transportation to commute to the warehouse location. **Why Join Us** - Be part of a mission-driven company changing how
