Yard Coordinator

The position reports to the National Parts & Logistics Manager and will be responsible for all aspects of yard management, cleanliness and maintenance. While working in a multitask environment, the Yard Coordinator will manage and ensure the smooth running of the existing yard in order to provide the highest housekeeping and safety standards.
**Responsibilities**:
- Responsible for cleanliness and maintenance of the yard to be in compliance of all safety and environmental standards
- Liaise with HSE manager and enforce compliance with HSE policies and measures
- Ensure that HSE provisions are complied with by every person in the yard (PPE, SWP, SOP, etc.)
- Maintain good communication with service, parts and warehouse departments for assistance and transparency
- Liaise with Facilities Manager, and report any abnormal conditions to ensure the yard and equipment are well-maintained, serviced and in good order
- Keep yard premises locked and secured and operate yard gates for access control
- Responsible for the all inventory in the yard (incl. machines, sales inventories, cores, warranty, keys, master switches, manuals)
- Control movement of equipment/tools/items in the yard
- Ensure any equipment stored is properly tagged and easily located
- Control and allocate yard space and movements for the divisions
- Assist with yard inventory counts and reconciliations
- Responsible for wash bay to make sure it is clean and organized
- Operate all required tool, this includes power tools, sweeper, and forklift
- Ensure necessary approvals and documentation are in place before shipment of equipment
- Assist the various LCA divisions with the movement, loading and unloading of machines, components and parts
- Works with the warehouse and sales team to ensure locations of parts and machines are clear & condition of assets is in the highest standing
- Maintains daily log of all moves, jobs and tasks completed
- Responsible to make sure all tools required for the job are maintained and serviced
- Arranges shipping and deliveries of goods/machines
- Assist in other areas when needed (warehouse or shop or washbay)
**Competencies**:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position will be considered an asset.
- Heavy Equipment industry experience is highly preferred.
- Must have a valid forklift license.
- Able to effecively communicate both verbally and written.
- You are a team player but can also work independently.
