- Keeps up an organized environment indoors and outdoors ensuring all materials and supplies are accessible and well-maintained.
- Adapts teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of children.
- Completes specialized training as requested by the program director.
- Encourages creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Fosters curiosity in and a connection to the natural world.
- Educates children on native fauna and flora.
**Skills**
- Proficiency in English.
- Strong background in childcare, with experience working with young children in an outdoor setting.
- Excels at providing creative support to children in a Play based Child led programs.
- Group leadership experience; skilled at team building and possessing qualities that inspire confidence and curiosity in young learners.
- Is adaptable and intuitive supporting individual neurotypes.
- Excellent teaching abilities, can develop program plans in advance and spontaneously.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with children, parents, and other educators.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Works well independently.
Must have current License to Practice in B.C., Current Child-safe First aide and Criminal Record Check.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $25.00-$27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 - 40 per week
