**About the role**:
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Release Manager will be a powerful communicator and understand cross team project delivery that requires technical know-how, dependency management, and capacity planning. Release Managers have strong coordination and organizational skills with a desire to optimize and improve product delivery consistency and quality in each release. Their focus will be to execute with a sound degree of independence, reliability, and knowledge, helping AlayaCare to consistently deliver high quality software. Should any issues arise, the Release Manager will troubleshoot with the DevX-Deploy team and provide end to end solutions.
**A day in the life**:

- Assist and/or coordinate Release Management and Quality Assurance administrative activities.
- Update various Release and QA documentations, artifacts, host meetings and follow up on items as required
- Assist with forward planning the release windows and cycles across the company
- Assist with following up on risks and resolving issues that affect release scope, schedule, and quality.
- Prepare and maintain release artifacts and ensure accuracy.
- Lead daily communications for all key project plans, statuses, commitments, and changes including requirements, QA plans, schedule, and scope changes,
- Work with QA, Development, DevOps, and Product to ensure that development projects adhere to the release process and change procedure guidelines
- Monitor QA activities and/or test execution as needed
- Identify and document risk exceptions and mitigation strategies
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, help establish guidelines as necessary.
- Manage timing and coordination of test runs with various projects and stakeholders sharing test environments
- Provide recommendations and assist with implementing approved recommendations to improve release process.
- Conduct Release readiness reviews, Milestone reviews, and Post-mortem calls
- Profile projects for critical release related issues; resolve/assign or escalate to appropriate group for resolutions, if necessary

**What you bring to the team**:

- 2 to 4 years of experience with Release Management
- Experience in Agile and Jira
- Ability to motivate and maintain a positive work environment.
- Strong project planning and coordination capabilities.
- Resourceful and able to solve a variety of resourcing and scheduling related issues.
- Strong willingness to learn independently.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must demonstrate strong initiative, judgment, and reliability
- Ability to work independently and to work with others in a team
- Scripting/coding experience is an asset
- Experience working with various SDLC methodologies
- Experience with project management software tools is an asset.
