**IT EDI Support Specialist - Burnaby, BC**
**The Role**:
Our IT Department is looking for an **IT EDI SUPPORT SPECIALIST **to join the Watson Gloves Family. The IT EDI Support Specialist is a key member of the IT Team who will propel client relationships forward by providing and supporting business communication solutions to better serve our customers and internal staff. This role is responsible for development, implementation, maintenance, evaluation and troubleshooting issues related to Electronic Data Interchange. Reporting to Director of IT, this role is for you if you are analytical, have a high attention to detail, have strong communication skills, and a track record of delivering exceptional customer service You will become the support expect to all customers, internal and external stakeholders for all things EDI.
**YOUR core responsibilities**:
- Manage and maintain flow of EDI data
- Import and process daily sales orders
- Daily work includes allocating orders, PO confirmations, sending advance ship notifications, creating invoices
- Process inbound documents and send outbound documents in a timely manner
- Generate and review daily pricing discrepancy reports
- Communicate clearly with other departments i.e. Customer Service, Warehouse Team, etc.
- Map inventory and locations cross reference tables
- Assist in troubleshooting process issues
- Maintain log of EDI transmission issues and work towards solution with team
- Coordinate with trading partners to resolve transmission issues
- Schedule orders for shipment/pickup
- Assist with implementation projects such as onboarding new customers
- Improve overall system performance and efficiency
- Maintain accurate documentation of processes and procedures
**What YOU BRING to Watson Gloves**:
- 2+ years experience in a data processing / accounting support role
- Problem solver with an analytical mindset
- Strong attention to detail, and ability to multi-task and organize
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and written
- Team player who believes in collaboration
- Experience using Microsoft Excel
- Experience working with GP 2018 ERP is an asset
- Degree in computer science or business/commerce or equivalent working experience
- Basic knowledge of SQL database and queries
- Previous experience with warehousing, logistics, data processing, accounting is considered an asset
