**Our expectations**

**Your role**
- Supervise a team of 6 people at the Boucherville Head Office
- Participate in the month-end accounts payable process: journal entries, reports, reconciliations, explanation of variances
- Coordinate all accounting activities as part of the financial closing processes
- Support, coach, train, and develop the Accounts Payable teams (Wipro - India and local)
- Review accounting and accounts payable control tasks performed by the service provider (Wipro)
- Conduct follow-ups and variance analysis with the service provider (Wipro)
- Implement and review internal audits and ensure they are fully compliant
- Participate actively in test scenarios
- Ensure that the local team updates and maintains accounts payable matching, payment discounts, as well as balance sheet and income statement analysis
- Prepare financial closing reports for internal/external auditors
- Perform or review high-risk account reconciliations
- Ensure that provisions are adequate and compliant with policies
- Manage service provider (Wipro) escalations requiring direct interaction with operations, finance, and management
- Coordinate with internal service providers to ensure the quality of services provided and limit risks
- Evaluate team recommendations and identify opportunities to improve RONA’s processes
- Communicate control deficiencies and resolution proposals to Senior Leadership
- Help optimize and automate processes
- Participate in various special projects

**The qualifications we are looking for**
- Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, accounting, or finance
- At least 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position
- CPA designation (an asset)
- Knowledge of the retail industry (an asset)
- Proficiency with the MS Office Suite, specially Excel, advanced level
- Experience with accounting, Oracle Cloud, and EBS softwares (an asset)
- Excellent analytical skills, rigor, and ability to synthesize information
- Excellent ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, changing work environment
- Ability to establish positive working relationships with all colleagues
- Ensures proper compliance with accounting principles and company policies
- Leadership to guide a results-driven team
- Effective communication, willingness to change while in line with corporate objectives in terms of management, operations, and finance
