**About the role**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Participate in in monthly financial statement reporting.
- Support the Controller in all aspects of the month-end close process, prepare journal entries such accruals, salary, reclasses etc.
- Ensure monthly update of month-end schedules such as fixed assets, amortization, prepaids and deferred revenue etc.
- Process bi-weekly payroll and record related entries.
- Prepare monthly/quarterly analyses regarding variances relating to P&L and balance sheet accounts.
- Reconciliation and analysis of accounts receivable and payable sub-ledgers to the general ledger in the context of month-end activities.
- Manage the collection of receivables.
- Participate actively in process optimization initiatives and provide recommendations.
- Manage accounting activities for the installation and commercial divisions as they relate to invoicing, expenses, and commissions.
- Assist with the annual inventory count and resolve any discrepancies.
- Provide support to the Controller and VP Finance and act as key player in the realization of various operational improvements.
- Assist in preparing audit schedules, providing data to auditors, and work with auditors to resolve their queries.
- Review the work of administrative assistants and mentor less experienced accounting staff.

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- Hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- 3 years of accounting experience in a similar role.
- Good knowledge of MS Office suite (Intermediate) and strong skills in Excel.
- Experience with an ERP system.
- Bilingual is a big plus. Ability to communicate in French and English (verbal and written).

**Assets**:

- Knowledge of Microsoft NAV is a plus.
- Experience within a distribution and/or retail environment.
- Ability to manage projects.
