Language Arts Teacher

Qualifications:
- Undergrad/MA/PhD in English or OCT certified
- Very strong skills in language arts, grammar rules and vocabulary
- Ability to quickly grade students’ work
- Confidence in public speaking/teaching abilities
- Ability to closely adhere to material provided from an existing curriculum
- Energetic with strong communication skills
Summary of Duties:
- Preparing for classes ahead of time by reviewing lessons provided and planning execution of material
- Managing classroom tasks like attendance, homework check, grades, etc.
- Delivering lessons in-person from an existing curriculum
- Interacting with students to help them improve in areas of vocabulary, writing, public speaking, etc.
- Guiding student discussions to foster engagement with course material
- Marking student assignments and providing edits/feedback where necessary

**Salary**: To be determined based on level of education, experience and qualifications.
**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 10 months
