Holiday Inn Express & Suites Edmonton South is currently hiring a Maintenance Attendant/Manager for full-time to ensure the highest standard in the daily maintenance of the hotel and guest rooms by operating, repairing and maintaining all hotel facilities in a quick, efficient and professional manner.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Perform preventive maintenance and complete report work orders such as replacing ceiling tiles, light bulbs, patching vinyl, etc., to maintain the hotel and keep the product quality standard
- Check electrical systems such as air conditioning controls, television sets, lightning systems, and make minor repairs and /or replacement
- Check and make routine repairs and assist on major repairs of all hotel equipment including small appliances, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment’s, boilers, HVAC, hand and power tools and general plumbing systems and fixtures such as pipe lines, toilets and sinks, kitchen & laundry equipment
- Provide guest room service/repair as communicated by Front Desk, Executive Housekeeper, or General Manager
- Perform general carpentry, tiling, painting, drywall and wall surface repairs.
- Maintain the building exterior and “curb appeal” (e.g., snow removal, lawn care, painting, gardening)
- Ensure that all departmental reports, including maintenance log book are completed punctually and accurately
- Respond in a timely, courteous manner to guest questions, complaints, or requests.
- Properly maintain tools, work spaces, and equipment
- Assist with the testing of fire alarms, emergency lightning etc. on a routine basis in line with property policy
- Engage in flexible work schedules to be able to perform well during emergencies
- Oversee major mechanical systems throughout the hotel, ensuring that all systems are fully operational
- Perform other special tasks outside of the regular routine as may required
