West Park Healthcare Centre helps patients get their lives back by providing specialized rehabilitative and complex care after a life‐altering illness or injury such as lung disease, amputation, stroke, and traumatic musculoskeletal injuries.

West Park is building a new hospital and transforming its 27-acre site into an integrated campus of care, enabling the hospital to evolve its rehabilitative programs to meet Ontario’s future healthcare needs.

***Qualifications**:

- College Diploma in corporate communications/Public Relations or alternatively, an undergraduate degree, plus 1 year post-graduate certificate in Corporate Communications or Public Relations
- Minimum of 3 years public relations experience in a healthcare environment
- Ability to develop and execute communication plans
- Demonstrated graphic design skills
- Demonstrated web site management experience
- Intermediate computer skills (Word, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign and Illustrator), PowerPoint, PhotoShop)
- Strong interpersonal, strong document management skills and organizational communications skill (verbal & written)
- Must possess a strong desire to learn and advance skill-sets with mínimal guidance in a fast-paced environment
- Able to work well both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work with various stakeholders to gain support and consensus
- Project management and program development experience preferred
- Healthcare experience preferred
- Evidence of good performance history and attendance record
- Ability to work in a manner that exemplifies the core values of West Park: Respecting People, Striving for Innovation, Achieving Excellence and Demonstrating Accountability
- Should be aware of conditions and measures that may affect the safety of patients, residents, students, employees, volunteers, physicians and visitors

***Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement campus development communication plans that align with the corporate communication principles and guidelines.
- Research, interview, write, and edit communication publications and presentations related to the development of campus including campus development newsletter Sightlines, contribution to internal Highlights monthly newsletter, annual Healthy Together magazine, and Annual Report.
- Manage the Campus Development component of the Centre’s web site by planning, writing, editing and updating web pages, and where appropriate, liaising with design consultants and tracking and analyzing web site traffic statistics.
- Assist with special projects as assigned such as assisting in the development of RFIs/RFPs special events and other project management activities
- Assist with develop systems and processes to maintain project documents (hard and soft copies as applicable) for easy reference and retrieval such as the project agreement and schedules, architectural drawings, schedule of completed documents, financial model, RFP submissions (including tendering documents), the design development documents, pictures and media files. Ensure all documents are properly submitted to all of the relevant stakeholders, retrieved, and appropriately returned and filed (electronically or otherwise) as required.
