Job description

**Job Purpose**
- Operates powered industrial trucks to load and unload materials and deliveries. Moves them to and from storage areas and loading docks into trucks or storage facility.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

**Must be able to work in cold environment**
- Obtains copy of production schedule or shipping order and transports material or equipment to and from designated areas in the warehouse
- Unload shipments safely and move product to storage locations. Efficiently stack and store the merchandise in the appropriate areas
- Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage. Report quality variances
- Checking loads are secure
- Stacking empty pallets
- Performing daily equipment checks such as recharging the truck’s battery and lubricating equipment
- Accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle
- Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations
- Follow all instructions provided by Warehouse Manager or Plant Manager

**Required Skills/Experience**
- High school diploma or previous warehouse experience
- High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe environment
- Good math, language and reading skills required
- Follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records
- Forklift certification
- Execute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe manner

**Physical Requirements**
- Regularly sitting on a powered industrial truck
- Ability to work in cold environment
- Having a good sense of balance
- Having good-eye hand foot coordination
- Ability to asses weights and judge distances and height
- Working with large groups of people

**Salary**: $19.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

**Experience**:

- Forklift Operator: 1 year (required)
- forkilfting: 1 year (preferred)
