Reporting to the Regional VP Sales, the Associate Sales Director will be responsible for generating sales, building and strengthening new business relationships with potential prospects and understanding the advisor’s book of business (goals, targets, AUM) while uncovering opportunities to recommend Beneva’s products. This role will also be involved in developing sales strategies, marketing concepts and to provide support to the Business Development Directors. This role combines proactive sales activities and value added services through daily telephone contact with existing and new advisors in the region.

JOB DUTIES

Achieve activity and sales targets, including 15 pro-active contacts per day and business planning. Sales activities are done through outbound and inbound communication with advisors. Assist in the development and ongoing management of an annual business plan for the region. Support the local sales activities of the Business Development Managers leads, team meetings, sales events, and industry seminars. Become an expert in retail investment and strategies, including segregated funds and individual life products. Achieve local sales target. Log sales activities in CRM and become familiar with the system to target advisors for specific campaigns. Develop strong relationship with advisors and Director Business Development to ensure clients’ expectations are always exceeded. Responsible for updating daily activities on the time management system. Develop a daily call plan to ensure sales activities are met. Promote Beneva’s brand, the products and high quality service. To carry out any other task, as required.

**REQUIREMENTS**:
Education
- College degree in a related field is an asset.

Experience
- 3 to 5 years of sales/marketing/call centre experience in the financial services industry

**Requirements**:

- Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills.
- Strong active listening skills—an entrepreneurial approach is key to the role
- Successful completion of IFIC mutual funds course or other industry related courses such as CSC, CFP. Must be willing to complete LLQP.
- Hold either an Advisor License or an Insurers Representative license that is valid and in good standing (for the province of Saskatchewan only)
- Strong knowledge of mutual fund and segregated funds
- Solid knowledge of financial services industry overall
- Coachable and open to ongoing sales training
- Excellent command of spoken and written English, French would be an asset.
