**HUMAN RESOURCE - GENERALIST**

**SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**_ Recruitment and Onboarding_**
- Develop and drive recruitment strategy for part-time and full-time staff.
- Manage all aspects of the onboarding recruitment cycle inclusive of job postings, interviews, negotiation of offers, and employee onboarding.
- Manage the offboarding process, track retention, and facilitate exit interviews of departing employees.
- Keep consistency and make sure that the INTEGRITY of the swim school is upheld to the highest standards.
- Collaborate with managers to understand the skills and qualifications required for various open positions.
- Initiate and analyze staff engagement surveys on a sessional basis.
- Provide recommendations to the management team to create a positive atmosphere for GROWTH and have FUN at work
- Work with the management team to anticipate the needs of each location and future organization and program needs to foster GROWTH

**_ Payroll and benefits_**
- Responsible for processing bi-weekly payroll for both salary and hourly, ensuring compliance with Canadian payroll standards such as Employment Standard, Canada Revenue Agency (CPP, EI, T4’s), Ministry of Finance, Statistics Canada, etc.
- Create GL report
- Oversee, respond to inquiries regarding benefits, ensuring timely processing of plan member enrollments, terminations, and changes.

**_ Leadership Support_**
- Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, and further skills development to ensure SAFETY and standards are met.
- These include mandatory aquatic certifications, non-mandatory aquatic certifications, safety training, and legislative training requirements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for human resources-related matters and create a SAFE space for all employees to express concerns or needs.
- Provide support to leadership in managing employees on matters such as absenteeism, performance improvement plans, interpretation and compliance with policies and procedures
- Supporting leaders to maintain the INTEGRITY of the swim school and provide GROWTH in all areas related to performance management and professional development.
- Work with the leadership team to create and foster a positive and collaborative FAMILY-like FUN environment for employees.
- Maintain training records and ensure training is aligned with all applicable legislation.

**_ Health and SAFETY Management_**
- Works in compliance with the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act and all other relevant government legislations.
- Update and maintain Safety Data Sheets.
- Work alongside and manage the Health & Safety Committee.
- Oversee the Occupational Health and Safety programs.
- Conduct monthly health and safety walk-throughs and meetings.
- Ensure compliance for health and safety record keeping and confidentiality.

**_ Ongoing HR Services_**
- Provide HR services and support to employees on all HR and people management issues.
- Examine trends in employee data and develop strategies to align employee behavior with organizational goals and use them to GROW and strengthen the FAMILY and organization.
- Regularly review, update and maintain the employee handbooks, ensuring that all documentation and policies comply with legislation.
- Maintain and update organizational charts as needed.
- Ensure all organizational policies and practices align with diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
- Maintain employee data and personnel files ensuring confidentiality and discretion.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- A CHRP or CHRL designation would be considered an asset or willingness to obtain.
