Abbotsford, Canada Back in Motion Rehab Full time

**Back in Motion Health Services has a part-time contractor Kinesiologist opportunity to work in our Abbotsford clinic.**

**Clinical duties include**:

- Evidence-based assessment and treatment services for clients who have sustained a variety of injuries and conditions, usually with a goal of assisting them to return to work.
- Implement, monitor and progress exercise and work simulation programs.
- Management of resources, scheduling clients, tracking attendance, ensuring report timeliness and communicating with various stakeholders (insurance company, employer, physician, etc) in conjunction with the team Physiotherapist
- Develop structured Gradual Return to Work (GRTW) plans.
- Monitor the GRTW plan to facilitate a successful outcome.
Mentoring and training will be provided. The Kinesiologist will work, at times, independently and at other times will work on a team that includes Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists/Counselors, Physicians, and Administrative Staff. Our goal is to assist clients to return to work and improve their quality of life.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Knowledge and/or experience in evidence based orthopaedic, concussion, neurological or mental health practice with a strong emphasis on active rehabilitation.
- Knowledge of psycho-social aspects of disability.
- Travel may be required to other locations in the lower mainland.
**Education**:

- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology or Human Kinetics or equivalent degree.
**Memberships & Associations**:

- Member or eligible for membership with the British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists (BCAK).
- Travel may be required for this position. Ability to drive or access to a vehicle is essential.
