Reporting to the Resort Manager and working alongside the Maintenance Lead, the key responsibilities for this seasonal maintenance position include grounds maintenance, equipment maintenance, and tending to infrastructure failures when appropriate. Weekend work is a requirement of this role.
**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Responsible for grounds maintenance including landscaping, pruning, hedging, grass cutting, trimming, weeding, etc. throughout the resort
- Respond to unexpected resort issues in a timely manner, including but not limited to water leaks, sewage back ups, power failure
- Responsible to call in professional services for assistance under the guidance of the Maintenance Lead or Resort Manager
- Follow a preventative maintenance schedule to ensure all equipment, facilities and outdoor spaces remain safe and enjoyable for our customers
- Assist in pool maintenance, including cleaning and regular inspections
- Assist in maintenance and small repairs for all resort buildings (office, washroom/laundry room, rec hall, shop, etc.)
- Maintain on site dump area in an organized way, reporting any dump violations to the Resort Manager immediately (example: large items in bins, garbage in recycling, etc.)
- Complete work orders submitted by customers, management or reception staff as assigned
- Follow all regulatory Health & Safety measures as per training provided including reporting of any potential hazards
- Interact with seasonal residents daily; communicate professional and effectively, deliver an exceptional customer service experience
- Participate in customer appreciation events as part of the resort team
- Other duties as assigned by Maintenance Lead or Resort Manager
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Previous maintenance experience considered an asset
- Excellent time management and multitasking skills; ability to prioritize tasks with mínimal supervision.
- Reliable transportation is essential, public transportation not available for this location
- Weekend work required; occasional evenings may be required
