Bowmanville, Canada K9 Central Pet Resort Training and Spa Inc. Full time

Job Responsibilities:

- Monitors the overall activities of the dogs in boarding and daycare
- Responsible for supervising the dogs to prevent injuries
- Ensures standards of cleanliness are maintained in the play areas
- Responsible for daily cleaning such as cleaning after accidents, beds, crates, toys and other play equipment
- Supervise and place dogs in appropriate play groups
- Responsible for following naptime, feeding and medication schedules for all dogs (as well as any add ons)
- Responsible for administrative duties and other tasks as assigned
- Able to lift up to 50lbs+
- Able to explain the services and products of K9 Central
- Must be able to work evenings and weekends
- Bath Dogs as needed
- Standing for a long period of time required

**Education**:
High School Diploma

Post Secondary Education

**Experience**:
Previous experience at a Vet Clinic, Dog Daycare/Boarding facility or related experience

Previous customer service and retail experience is a must

Knowledge and Skills required:
Professional dog experience, training, pet first aid

Understanding of dog body language and communication

Passionate about dogs and providing them with a safe and fun environment

Excellent customer service skills

Basic computer skills

Basic reading, writing and math skills

Ability to identify different dog breeds, characteristics and understand dog body language

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $14.10-$15.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Bowmanville, ON L1C 6H2: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
