Assistant Parts Manager

**Job Overview**
**Responsibilities**
- Manage the daily operations of the parts department, ensuring efficient workflow and inventory management.
- Oversee sourcing and purchasing of parts, negotiating with suppliers to secure favorable terms.
- Utilize demand planning techniques to forecast inventory needs and maintain optimal stock levels.
- Maintain accurate data entry in the system for tracking parts usage and inventory levels.
- Collaborate with service technicians and other departments to identify parts requirements for ongoing projects.
- Provide training and support to team members on best practices for parts management and inventory control.
- Continuously assess market trends and dealership performance to enhance sourcing strategies.
**Experience**
- Proven experience in a parts management role.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical specifications of various parts.
- Familiarity with demand planning processes and inventory management systems.
- Proficient in data entry practices, ensuring accuracy in all records maintained.
- Previous experience working in a dealership setting is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently is a plus.
Pay: $25.00-$34.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Additional pay:
