**Our expectations**:
Reporting to the Manager, DC Operations Suppot & Planning, the Operational Efficiency Supervisor manages a high performing Operations efficiency team responsible for ensuring product efficiently and effectively moves through the Milton Distribution Center. By monitoring priorities and alerting the appropriate parties, the incubment ensures that performance goals, such as cycle-time, product accuracy, and allocation are achieved and exceeded. The Operational Efficiency Supervisor must also ensure proper flow of inventory by monitoring operational challenges and providing input on the opportunities. He/She will support all facilities (Distribution Centers) within the region, mentor and provide leadership to Operational Efficiency Analysts.
**Your role**:
- Maximize the efficiency of the Distribution Centers (DC) by managing the prioritization of DC shipments, Coordination and the allocation of product by working with WMS to flow product through facility
- Manage regional volume forecasting within the facility to maximize space opportunities and drive operational labour needs
- Monitor regional capacity to identify needs for additional overflow sites and manage product flow between them
- Monitor priority demand or special orders to ensure shipment; review purchase orders on the yard to identify any priorities that need to be distributed efficiently in warehouse and to stores
- In conjunction with the Coach, Inventory Control, work with the Supply Chain team to analyze/distribute POs, SKUs, inventory, and demand to ensure proper flow through the facility
- Oversee SKU management and the slotting plan
- Action calls from stores to follow up with priority inbound/outbound, special orders, and returns
- Collaborate with Continuous Improvement by providing and analyzing data to support integrating improvement opportunities (i.e., vendor scorecards, master data, refining order quantities, etc.)
- Assign team members to lead new product movement projects that allow for efficient and safe product picking
- Handle liquidation of unsellable items in the DC to maximize product salvage value
- Develop new processes to support efficient operations in the region
- Ensure the Operational Efficiency team’s performance and accuracy
- Coach, mentor, and develop the Operational Efficiency team
- Monitor other processes to ensure quality; take responsibility for quality
**The qualifications we are looking for**:
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience in an operational-efficiency-related function in a manufacturing or distribution environment
- Post-secondary education (business administration, supply-chain management) (an asset), or equivalent experience
- Advanced skills with WMS systems and MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook); experience with Blue Yonder (a strong asset)
- Experience managing teams of individual contributors
- Proven team-building, communication and people skills
- Analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify and creatively resolve complex problems.
- Effective work-prioritization and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team
