As an Industry Relations Strategist, you will play a strategic and cross-functional role within the Infrastructure Services department, leading external collaboration and relationship management with industry associations and infrastructure asset owners. You will assist in the implementation of the Industry Relations Strategy, develop and implement relationship management plans, support advocacy efforts, and coordinate responses to emerging issues and trends that affect infrastructure delivery. Primary duties include:
- Develop, maintain and support strategic relationships with assigned external partners, including industry associations and infrastructure owners.
- Build and execute tailored relationship management strategies with assigned external partners and support the internal relationship sponsors and owners.
- Lead strategic communications and engagement efforts to strengthen relationships between The City and industry partners, ensuring transparency, alignment, and shared success in infrastructure delivery.
- Identify and address cross-corporate issues and risks, conduct research on emerging trends and technologies, and support strategic planning efforts.
- Keep an issues and decisions log, contribute to annual reports, and prepare briefing notes and updates for senior leadership.
**Qualifications**
- A degree in Public Administration, Business, Communications, Economics, Planning, Political Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, and at least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in public relations, policy development, or strategic communications.
- Experience in relationship management and event management are essential.
