**Company Profile**: Chung & Vander Doelen Engineering Ltd. (CVD) is a consulting firm licensed by the Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO). Specializing in Geotechnical, Construction Inspection & Materials Testing, Environmental, and Hydrogeology. **General Responsibilities**: - Conduct construction inspections, including retaining wall inspections and testing, ensuring stringent quality control/assurance on various projects. - Perform roofing and building envelope inspections to maintain structural integrity. - Conduct field testing of concrete, mortar, and grout as per CSA/CCIL requirements. - Conduct laboratory testing on soils and concrete materials. - Perform field compaction testing of soils and asphalt. - Collect on-site soil and asphalt samples for laboratory testing. - Collaborate closely with project engineers and client site representatives. - Communicate test results effectively with clients, contractors, and team leaders. - Prepare comprehensive technical reports and correspondence. - Thrive in a collaborative team environment. **Qualifications**: - Possess a College Diploma in Geotechnical, Civil, Geological, or equivalent field. - Eligible for or actively pursuing C. Tech. or C.E.T. designation through OACETT (considered an asset). - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Intermediate proficiency in MS Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook). - Proficiency in AutoCAD is considered an asset. - Exhibit a "Safety-First" mindset. - Hold a valid driver’s license and have access to a reliable vehicle. - Willingness to travel locally and work extended hours when necessary. **Additional Information**: This position involves work-related travel; therefore, a valid driver’s license, insurance, and personal vehicle are required. Work-related travel expenses will be compensated accordingly. Flexible language requirement: - French not required Work Location: Hybrid remote in Kitchener, ON N2H 5E1
