Brewer

Brewer will report directly to the Head Brewer and work closely alongside the other members of the Production Team.

**Job Summary**:
A Brewer will be responsible for overseeing the production of beer from brewing all the way through to the packaging line. Key duties include following detailed brewing instructions, monitoring fermentation, ensuring sanitation, and maintaining records in our brewery managment software.

**Job Duties**:
Brewing:

- Able to operate standard brewing equipment according to provided SOPs
- Safe and efficient use of time in a work-alone scenario
- Calculations and on-the-fly recipe adjustment
- Flexibility in start time to accommodate the production schedule
- Work with production and inventory management software
- Brewhouse CIP and maintenance
- Wort production
- Keen attention to detail and process flow

Cellaring:

- Cleaning tanks using, and in accordance with provided SOPs
- Milling grains for batches of beer (able to lift 55lbs)
- Regular cleaning of work areas
- Boiler water management
- Dry-hopping and other fermentation additions
- Gravity measurements/fermentation management

Packaging:

- Washing kegs
- Occasional off-packing tasks

General Tasks:

- Cleaning and organizing of the workspace following checklists
- Occasional snow removal from sidewalks
- Occasional building janitorial tasks
- Assisting other brewers and production staff as required

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.86-$27.47 per hour
