**Job Overview**
As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals who require assistance with daily activities. This position involves providing compassionate care and support to clients in various settings, including senior care facilities, assisted living environments, and private homes. Your responsibilities will include aiding clients with personal care, medication administration, and ensuring their overall well-being.

**Duties**
- Assist clients with personal hygiene and grooming tasks to promote dignity and comfort.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the mental well-being of clients.
- Help with meal preparation, ensuring nutritional needs are met based on dietary restrictions.
- Assist clients with mobility challenges, including heavy lifting when necessary to ensure safety and comfort.
- Support individuals with disabilities by facilitating their participation in daily activities and social interactions.
- Maintain accurate records of client care and report any significant changes to healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other caregivers to create a cohesive care plan tailored to individual needs.

**Skills**
- Experience in senior care or caregiving is highly desirable, particularly in nursing homes or hospice care settings.
- Proficiency in medication administration and understanding of medical protocols is essential.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively when assisting clients with mobility issues.
- Knowledge of meal preparation techniques that cater to specific dietary needs.
- Compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality care for individuals in need.
- Familiarity with working with persons with disabilities is a plus, enhancing your ability to provide tailored support.
