We want to hire a cook who is either experienced or willing to learn various culinary techniques like baking, cooking, and general food preparation for a fast rising local restaurant. The cook's responsibility is to collaborate with the head chef and directly assist in daily operations. Since you will be working with others on a daily basis, we expect you to be a good listener and communicator, able to keep a team focused on goals. You will be an excellent multitasker and able to prepare your own dishes while keeping an eye on quality standards. Ultimately, we are seeking a high-energy, collaborative restaurant team member who has an eye for detail and seeks new challenges in a fast-paced environment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Cook food for guests according to recipes, quality and quantity standards.
- Prep food for meal times during down time between rushes.
- Dealing with guests on a regular basis.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Additional pay:

- Overtime pay
- Tips

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Waterloo, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Licence/Certification:
