Become part of the West Island Cats & Dogs team - where the well-being of our clients and their pets is our priority..

We are currently looking for new team members to help with dog walks, and cat sitting, in the West Island and Vaudreuil area, over the WEEKENDS ONLY. This is part time work, ideal for students, or semi-retired adults.

The position is comprised of (but not limited to):

- Walking for up to 6 hours a day, throughout the year
- Training and teaching new behaviours to dogs
- Refreshing water bowls, and potentially feeding dogs
- Preparing treats in off hours, so you are ready for your next weekend of walks
- General cat care (food, water, litter)
- WICD’s Level of cat care (Love, Attention, Comfort, Daily Journals)
- House Checks (verification of safety)
- Light household duties (mail, trash, plant watering etc )
- Inter-team and inter-client communication on a daily basis
- Teamwork
- Light data entry

NB*Travel time to and from cat/house visits is unpaid but distance is kept as low as possible to save time and gas

Our Dog Walkers and Caregivers must possess the following qualities:

- Love for dogs AND cats
- Giving your all to each of the pets you work with
- Be respectful and responsible to the pets
- Use trained behaviours and techniques at all times you're with WICD dog clients
- Be responsible for your own kit and upkeep of that kit
- Be trustworthy
- Be punctual
- Be attentive to details
- Have a strong work ethic and take pride in a job well done
- Be a professional, effective and timely communicator
- Possess the ability to work within a team environment and also semi-autonomously

Must haves:

- Ability to work weekends and all holidays
- Cell phone and data plan
- Car and valid license

Assets:

- Experience with dogs or cats

Here are the areas we are looking for

Group 1: West Island (From St Anne de Bellevue to Dorval)

Group 2 : Off Island (Ile Perrot, Vaudreuil, NDIP) to Pointe-Claire
- You can choose more than 1 group
